In 2009 BMW released the X5 xDrive30i to the truck-buying market. The X5 came in three configurations: xDrive30i, xDrive48i, and xDrive35d. The xDrive30i configuration is powered by the 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, which makes 23 highway miles and 17 city. The X5 competes in the Sport Utility market segment, in direct competition with Nissan.
