A high point in the convertible market is the Porsche Boxster. In 2008 Porsche rolled out an upgraded version of the Boxster with five versions: S, Base, S Limited Edition, and RS 60 Spyder. Sales for the Boxster, especially the Boxster S Limited Edition, were brisk during 2008 and 2009. The improved reliability and the sporty styling were responsible for the increased interest.
The Boxster S Limited Edition is equipped with a Porsche 3.4 liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 24 valves. The engine is mated to a N/A 5-speed Transaxle. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Porsche.
