A lot has been said about the Porsche 911 for 2005. As Porsche's entry in the coupe market the 911 (and in this case specically the GT2 version) has maintained a solid reputation. The 2-door 911 is especially appealing to wide market segment, making it a perfect car to help Porsche as a brand in general.
The 2008 Porsche 911 GT2 was introduced to compete in the coupe market. The GT2 is a member of a series of ten trim levels for the 911 which include Carrera 4, Turbo, GT2, GT3 RS, Carrera 4S, Carrera S, Targa 4, and Targa 4S. The two-door car with its rear-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Porsche. There is strong competition from vehicles from Infiniti.
