In 2008 BMW released the X6 xDrive50i to the truck-buying market. The X6 came in two configurations: xDrive35i and xDrive50i. The xDrive50i configuration is powered by the 4.4-liter eight-cylinder engine, which makes 20 highway miles and 15 city. The X6 competes in the Sport Utility market segment, in direct competition with Kia.
Audi has been blessed with many award-winning designs, including the Audi S4 of 2008. There are three trim levels to the S4, including Avant, Base, and Cabriolet. The Base version is one of the more popular options. Like in 2007 the popular 4.2 liter has made this a popular choice for sedan buyers across the country.
A high point in the sport utility market is the BMW X6. In 2008 BMW rolled out an upgraded version of the X6 with two versions: xDrive35i and xDrive50i. Sales for the X6, especially the X6 xDrive35i, were brisk during 2008 and 2009. The improved reliability and the updated styling were responsible for the increased interest.
