The Porsche Boxster is a 2-door car available at your Porsche dealer. The Boxster came in five configurations: S, Base, S Limited Edition, and RS 60 Spyder. The Base configuration is powered by the 2.7-liter six-cylinder engine, which makes 26 - 29 highway miles and 19 - 20 city. The Boxster competes in the Convertible market segment, in direct competition with Honda.

2008 Porsche Boxster Base Specs

Standard equipment in the Boxster for 2007 and 2008 includes the 2.7 liter engine by Porsche, weighing in at 6 cylinders and twenty four valves. A 6-speed Standard Transaxle puts the power of the engine to the pavement. The has proven to be a popular configuration for the Boxster.

The Boxster uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The car uses coil and coil springs front and rear respectively.

The fuel system for the 2008 Boxster is a traditional Bosch ME-7.8, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 16.90 gallons.
