A Better 2007’s Model: The Audi RS4 for 2008

A lot has been said about the Audi RS4 for 2008. As Audi's entry in the sedan market the RS4 (and in this case specically the Base version) has maintained a solid reputation. The 4-door RS4 is especially appealing to wide market segment, making it a perfect car to help Audi as a brand in general.
Engine Performance
The RS4 Base is equipped with a Volkswagen 4.2 liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 32 valves. The engine is mated to a Volkswagen 6-speed Transaxle. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Audi.
Steering control is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The RS4 has power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. The car uses coil front springs and coil in the rear.
RS4 Base Statistics
The dimensions of the RS4 Base are 78.40 inches wide by 179.30 inches long. It sits a comfortable 54.80 inches off the ground. It seats a standard four passengers, with 4 doors. The wheelbase of 104.30 allows for limited leg room for the backseat passengers.
The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was $81,900 when new, with a dealer invoice cost of $76,168. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 4-door Sedan.
Fuel Efficiency
The fuel system for the 2008 RS4 is a Bosch Motronic design, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel flow is regulated by a electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The storage capacity of the fuel tank is 16.60 gallons.
The RS4 Base received a miles-per-gallon rating of twelve in-city driving and nineteen when it came to long-distance. Being a gas-powered non-green car, this was subpar.
In Summary
The 2008 model year was unsuccessful for the Audi RS4. The introduction of several trim levels (along with the Base version) meant that buyers had several options to choose from..
