Audi S8 Engine Specs: The S8 Base comes outfitted with a 5.2 liter, 10-cylinder motor that uses 40 valves. The engine, manufactured by Volkswagen, is mated to a six-speed transaxle by Volkswagen. This arrangement has demonstrated to be an effective style for Audi.

Fuel Efficiency

The 2007 S8's exceptional fuel system runs on gas. The fuel is regulated electronically, with a fuel-injected multi-port fuel injection style of design. The fuel capacity of the car is 23.80 gallons.

The S8 Base received a miles-per-gallon rating of fifteen in-city driving and twenty one when it came to highway driving. Being a gas-powered non-hybrid car, this was exceptional.

The 2006 model began the promise of the Audi S8. The 2007 expanded on this success and has proven to be a strong seller in most markets. Even with strong competition from other manufacturers Audi hopes that the S8 Base will continue to be a profitable vehicle.
